Tigers don't belong at football games!

11/26/24

Omar the tiger was visibly distressed

Did you see the news recently? Despite almost a decade of shunning the practice, a live tiger named Omar was brought to a LSU football game.

Tiger Stadium, home of LSU, is the 7th largest stadium in the world. There were reportedly more than 102,000 people in attendance on November 9, the date Omar was caged and forced onto the field. The noise was absolutely deafening.

Omar paced, snarled, and panted heavily as he was surrounded by people and sound. THIS WAS ENTIRELY UNNECESSARY AND CRUEL.

Two important points make this situation even more horrible: 1. Omar is "owned" by Mitchel Kalmanson of Florida who has a deep history of USDA Animal Welfare Act violations, and 2. This entire spectacle was organized and insisted upon by Louisiana GOVERNOR Jeff Landry!

Click here and let Landry know that his actions were dangerous, irresponsible, and abusive. It only takes a minute.
