Will you help Indu?

Did you see our email about Indu?
Indu was stolen from the Thai wilderness in 1966 only to ultimately end up at the Phoenix Zoo. On her arrival, Indu had three companions. They died in 1998, 2020, and 2021.
Indu has been alone ever since.
The Phoenix Zoo wants you to believe that Indu isn't interested in companionship, even though the elephant habitat was too small for the elephants to interact and integrate as a herd at the time Indu was shipped there.
When CWI investigated in 2019, we found Indu demonstrating stereotypical behavior, and zoo docents lying about its cause. A week later, the Phoenix Zoo admitted that she was put on display... while ill!
We demand that the AZA, the organization responsible for the Phoenix Zoo's accreditation, ACT NOW.
The AZA guidelines for accredited zoos states that female elephants should be kept in herds of three, at a minimum. Despite the fact that Indu could be relocated out of the extreme temperatures of Arizona to a climate better suited to her needs with the opportunity for companionship, thus far they have done nothing.
